Range will close in response to COVID-19 Coronavirus Emergency
On Monday, the Federal Government and British Columbia instituted severe measures in order to dampen the predicted impact of this dangerous epidemic on our health system so that adequate resources can be devoted to the most needy. All levels of government have urged our residents to stay home and limit their exposure in public areas. The B.C. Ministry of Health has further declared all gatherings of 50 or more to be cancelled to prevent community transmission of the virus. The cities of Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam have closed all community centers and programs.
After deliberation, the trustees and officers of the club have determined that we must do our part to ensure the health of our members, staff and community by closing the range for the next two weeks at a minimum or until public health authorities have raised the alert.
This means, beginning Wednesday the 18th:
- All Ranges will be closed to Members and the Public
- Committee Activities / Matches, banquet hall rentals and Courses will be rescheduled
It is our foremost wish that you and your loved ones remain healthy and safe during this crisis. Please do your part to learn more about COVID-19 and what steps you must take to help weather these challenges. DO NOT ATTEND PUBLIC GATHERINGS. WASH YOUR HANDS AND DO NOT TOUCH YOUR FACE. DO NOT HOARD CRITICAL MEDICAL SUPPLIES NEEDED BY OUR HEALTH SYSTEM SUCH AS MASKS AND DISINFECTANTS. DO NOT LEAVE HOME EXCEPT FOR ESSENTIAL REASONS.
