PCDHFC Members, are you interested in volunteering at your local hatchery
located at 2040 Pipeline Road, Coquitlam?
Currently we are looking to add 2 additional volunteers to take on Bi-
weekly Feeder positions. These are coveted positions often held by individuals
for many years.
What is expected of a Bi-Weekly feeder?
Commitment: Time Up to 2 Hours on your feeding day; Frequency, once every
second week.
Available Duty Days: Thursday (First Priority), Wednesday (Train as Backup
Only)
Duties: Clean, Flush, Rest and Feed Rearing containers, typically 3 to 5
depending on the time of year; Refresh disinfectant containers, as required;
Record information on the Daily Rearing Sheets.
Flexibility: Each Bi-Weekly Feeder works with a partner feeder, rotating every
2nd week. Where you need coverage for your day, where your alternate week
feeding partner is unavailable to cover, another member can be found to
cover for the day.
Retired or Working: Retirement has its advantages, however most bi-weekly
feeders work, and have the flexibility to feed later or earlier within the day
depending on your work hours, for flexibility.
Training: New members go through an Orientation and specific training.
Ongoing support is available anytime you need it.
There are many other areas and ways to contribute at GGMH. Other areas are:

(primarily November); Egg Picking (January thru April), once per week; Site &
Equipment Maintenance; Fry Clipping (late July or early August): Fry Release
