CONGRATULATIONS to our own Norm Fletcher who was recognized last night by the City of Coquitlam with the 2020 Lifetime Achievement Award as part of the annual environmental champions awards.
“Lifetime Achievement Award – Norm Fletcher, who has worked for decades to support local fish populations and has been instrumental in rejuvenating the Coquitlam River. For at least 20 years, Fletcher has been a dedicated volunteer at the Grist Goesen Memorial Hatchery, a project of the Port Coquitlam & District Hunting and Fishing Club. He has also been closely involved with the Coquitlam River Watershed Roundtable over the years.”
Norm is in the process of handing off responsibilities at our hatchery after decades of leadership. Please join us in thanking Norm for all of his hard work, wisdom and perseverance in service of our environment and health of our fish species.
