It was a busy weekend for competition both on the hill and for PCDHFC shooters in other competitions.
This weekend at the Bob Steele Memorial Match saw two of our shooters Ken Fisher and Mark Horsley of the BC Sherrifs Shooting Team do well. Horsley tied national record in Duty Pistol Match 1 and used Bob Steele’s gun to win the Snub Nose Revolver event.
On Saturday, DSSMatch returned to the lower ranges at Poco to shoot a modified 2-gun competition with pistol and carbines / rimfire. Competitions like multigun and Dssmatch have been heavily impacted by the Liberal government’s arbitrary prohibition of semi-automatic sporting rifles. In addition, COVID rules have necessitated social distancing and limited numbers. Still, the shooters who came to PCDHFC were able to push through and engage in a spirited shoot.
