As a follow up to the recent inspection report by the CFO, the board of PCDHFC have accepted the recommendations of our Mitigation Committee and will proceed with surveying, drafting of designs for overhead and ground baffles and will institute interim measures to allow non-RUC pistol shooters to temporarily use Range 10 with adjustment.
Presentation to Members
This presentation outlines the challenges facing the club in order to meet compliance and to return to the previous range operation as expected by our members and users.
PCDHFC Mitigation Info to Members v1.2
Highlights:
- Range 10 will be shortened to 25m immediately and the firing line will be moved up so that pistol shooters have a place to shoot while construction plans are pending
- A professional surveyor will be engaged immediately to determine exact mitigation requirements for berm raising on R1, R3, R10 and R7
- Designs will be drawn for overhead baffles and ground baffles with exact placement following surveying
- RUC course frequency will be increased so that members can self-supervise on lower ranges
The PCDHFC Board will answer questions on the Mitigation program at the upcoming AGM on January 26th at the Club House. Please read the presentation to see if your questions are already answered therein.
