The 15th of May and time to see who might be the better shot. We brought out all of our Martini .22s for a bit of a friendly competition. Ten shots, all the same ammo, open sights at 25 meters. To our dismay, the winner was Paul Evans. Surely he cheated. His best group was 5/8”. He did after all hand out the ammo, so we figured had probably gave us all floor sweepings and he used Eley target.
Well, being all nice guys we let him have it this time. Our Martinis were dated from 1888 to about early 60s. So quite a nice variety. Most made by BSA and a few Vickers thrown in for good measure.
We regularly shoot on Wednesday nights and use pretty much any make, model and type of rim fire rifle or pistols. A sharp leaning to military training rifles. Some nights are quite the education in the old artifacts.
