Range Map and Descriptions
Range 7 – 200 Yard Rifle Range
The 200 Yard Rifle Range has a large covered shelter with 22 shooting positions for rifle and shotgun. Target stands are provided at 25, 50, 100 and 200 yards.
Range 7 is approved for Rifle and Shotgun (Slugs Only).
- Rifle – Any caliber up to and including .338 Lapua (Not approved .50 BMG)
- Shotgun – Slugs Only on Range #7
- Ammunition – no tracer or armour-piercing
- Surplus FMJ (Full Metal Jacket) and Steel Core ammunition is approved.
Range 7 is used by our Wednesday night Small-Bore Committee and on Thursday night by NRL22.
Range 10: Steel Range for pistol, rimfire and shotgun.
Range 10 is our newest 30m range which is available under supervision of ROs on request and to Range User Course certified members (RUC). This range has an assortment of steel targets set out for pistol and rimfire and with cease fires allows placement of user’s paper targets. To use Range 10, speak to a Range Officer at Range 7. If you are an RUC-certified member, please sign in and speak to a Range Officer the same as you would for Range 3-6. If you are NOT an RUC member, please CALL AHEAD to the Range office at 604-942-9736 to see if there are Range Officers available that day to supervise. Unfortunately, staffing issues may not always mean R10 is open.
Ranges 3–6: Members Range User Certified (RUC)
PCDHFC offers one 50 M range (3), two 25 M ranges (4 & 5), and one 10 M range (6) for pistol and/or smallbore. Use of these ranges is available to any member who has successfully completed the Range User Course (RUC).
These small ranges are perfect for individuals or small groups who want to work on target skills acquisition or sight in a firearm.
The ranges offer raised wooden shelters with shooter and spectator benches. Each range is supplied with target stands and lathe for posting targets.
Ranges 8–9: Trap & Skeet Ranges (open on Trap and Skeet days – check calendar)
PCDHFC has facilities for both singles and doubles trap, as well as both high and low skeet houses. The fields are separated enough so that both disciplines can be active at the same time.
The trap and skeet fields are located directly in front of the small clubhouse, which offers plumbing and kitchen facilities as well as a sheltered porch and sitting room with picture windows for spectators.
Trap and skeet at PCDHFC is a relaxed affair, with the focus on having fun and getting in lots of shooting time. Everyone is welcome to join in, no experience is required. Non-members are welcome.
The Trap and Skeet Club meet every second and fourth Sunday.
Range 1: Rental Range (Agencies, Committees, Special Events)
Range 1 is a 50 Meter Range with heated large covered shelter with fifteen shooting positions.
This range is frequently used by law enforcement agencies for their training routines, as well as by our PPC, LEAP, and IPSC committees and cadets.
Range 2 is a short range for pistol / shotgun only that is paired with Range 1.
Range 1 and 2 are not available to RUC members.
Please note: Eye Protection, Hearing Protection and Staplers are not provided By PCDHFC. Limited supplies are available for sale.
